Turmeric [Whole/Powder]

Without Turmeric every Indian Kitchen is incomplete. Turmeric has been used in India for thousands of years and is a major part of Ayurvedic medicine. It was first used as a dye and then later for its possible medicinal properties. Without Turmeric every Indian Kitchen is incomplete.

It is a "Ground Spice" from the family of ginger. It colour indicates the quality of Turmeric. The darker the pigmentation the better is the quality. Very light aromatic, but it gives good taste when mixed with other spices ingredients. It is mostly used in powder form and stored only in air tight container.
